Responsible innovation for quantum
In 2021, we have witnessed increased discussion over the societal aspects of quantum technologies. For examples, see discussion over societal implications in CIFAR’s report on quantum strategies and the World Economic Forum’s work on ethical principles for quantum computing. In this talk, Tara Roberson describes the early results of a series of interviews conducted with Australian researchers and industry stakeholders on ‘responsible quantum’. Then, Tara presents some next steps for examining the public good of quantum in this early stage of the sector’s development.
