Emma Paterson on Innovation Nation with her ground-breaking discovery
The QDM Lab researchers developed the twisted cavity resonator to search for dark matter. In the process, they discovered that the twisted light technology they developed inside their devices could manipulate chiral molecules. This important application will have a huge impact on the medical industry, saving hundreds of thousands of dollars in drug manufacturing costs and making them safer and more affordable. Emma Paterson who made this discovery, was featured on Innovation Nation, episode 5.
Congratulations to PhD student Emma Paterson and Research Fellow Jeremy Bourhill on this feature!
